Who Are Brsk Broadband?
Founded in 2020, Brsk is what’s known as an alt-net provider. That means they’re an alternative network ISP, one of the smaller, independent companies building their own fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) explained infrastructure rather than renting access to Openreach or Virgin Media’s cables.
Why does that matter? Because owning the network gives Brsk more direct control over the quality and pricing of their service. They’re not paying a middleman for access, which helps keep costs down and speeds consistent.
Right now, Brsk operates primarily across parts of Birmingham, Manchester, and Bradford, with ongoing expansion into West Yorkshire, Lancashire, and Cheshire. It’s not a national provider, so coverage is the first thing to check before getting excited about the pricing.
Brsk merged with Netomnia and rebranded as YouFibre in 2026. Deals may still appear under the Brsk name during the transition.
What Do Brsk Broadband Deals Include as Standard?
Every Brsk plan comes with a few things you’d sometimes pay extra for elsewhere:

Brsk’s residential plans are sold under the “BetterNet” brand, with the number in each name roughly indicating the speed tier. Pricing below is correct as of April 2026, based on Brsk’s official price book. Always verify directly, as deals change.

All speeds are symmetrical, meaning upload matches download. That’s a real advantage over cable and part-fibre connections, particularly if you work from home, make video calls, or upload large files regularly. All prices include VAT, unlimited data, free installation, and a Wi-Fi 7 router.
Rolling Monthly Contracts
Brsk also offers rolling (no-contract) plans for those who want maximum flexibility. The trade-off is cost: the 150 Mbps plan rises to approximately £34.99/month on a rolling basis. Free installation is still included.
Is it worth paying more for the flexibility? If you’re renting short-term or unsure how long you’ll stay at your current address, a rolling deal avoids exit fees entirely. But if you can commit for 12 months, the savings are meaningful. Brsk Broadband Add-Ons
Brsk offers several optional extras beyond the core broadband package. None are required, but here’s what’s available and whether each one is actually worth considering.
BetterTV
A Netgem 4K set-top box plus a companion app, giving access to roughly 130 live channels and popular streaming apps. It costs £10/month with a one-off £20 activation fee. If you want a single box combining live TV and streaming, it’s a tidy solution. But if you already subscribe to Netflix, Disney+, and similar services, the added value is limited. This isn’t a Sky Glass or Virgin TV 360 equivalent in terms of content depth.
BetterPhone
A VoIP home phone service (voice over internet protocol) that replaces a traditional copper landline with a digital one. Starts from £4/month, with optional call plans for regular callers. You can keep your existing phone number when transferring. With the UK’s old copper (PSTN) network being switched off, Brsk customers are already on a future-proof setup here.
BetterWiFi
Brsk’s managed mesh Wi-Fi service, professionally installed by an engineer for £10/month. It comes with a guarantee of at least 10 Mbps Wi-Fi in every room. BetterIP (Static IP Address)
Available for £5/month. Primarily useful for remote workers running VPNs, home server users, or small businesses. Most home users won’t need this.
What Is Brsk’s Customer Service Like?
Reviews consistently highlight friendly, responsive support and reliable service post-installation. Brsk also runs a refer-a-friend scheme: existing customers who refer someone new receive a £50 Amazon voucher once the first month’s payment clears.
One honest caveat: Brsk is still a growing network. As with any expanding provider, service quality can vary depending on your area and how recently your local infrastructure was built. If you’re in a newly connected zone, check recent local reviews before committing.
Switching to Brsk Broadband
Switching is straightforward. Since January 2024, Ofcom’s One-Touch Switch process means you don’t need to contact your current provider to cancel. Brsk handles the transfer for you.
No phone line is required. Brsk’s network is entirely digital, so there’s no BT line rental to set up or maintain, and you’re already prepared for the UK’s PSTN copper switch-off.

Where Is Brsk Broadband Available?
This is Brsk’s biggest limitation. They don’t have national coverage, so they can’t compete with BT, Sky, or Virgin Media on reach.
As of early 2026, their largest coverage areas are parts of Birmingham, Manchester, and Bradford. Expansion is underway across West Yorkshire, Lancashire, and Cheshire, but availability can vary street by street, even within those areas.
If you’re in Greater Manchester broadband deals or the West Midlands broadband deals areas, there’s a decent chance Brsk covers your postcode. How Does Brsk Compare to Other Providers?
Here’s the quick picture. Brsk’s entry plan gives you 150 Mbps for £24.99/month on a 12-month contract with no price rises. According to Ofcom’s Connected Nations data, average UK fixed broadband download speeds sit at roughly 70 to 80 Mbps, so even Brsk’s cheapest tier is around double the national average.
How do the big names stack up? BT’s Full Fibre 150 costs £28.99/month on a 24-month contract with a £34 setup fee and mid-contract price rises. EE’s equivalent is £26.99/month, also 24 months with annual increases. Virgin Media’s M125 starts lower at £21.99/month, but that’s a cable connection (not full fibre), it locks you in for 24 months, and prices rise during the contract.
On paper, Brsk comes out well: shorter contracts, no price hikes, symmetrical speeds, and competitive pricing. The catch? If they’re not at your postcode, none of it matters. That’s the reality with every alt-net provider, and it’s the single biggest reason Brsk won’t be the right choice for everyone.
